Loli Fishing Next 20,000 Leagues

This started life as a Kwakfest (and is one of the few Kwakfest tracks not on my new CD) and ended up being played at Blip Festival 2007. Chibi-tech, one of my chiptune-writing friends and one of the most talented mofos in the whole scene, danced to it in a maid costume. I’m not making this up. There’s video out there.

Sounds like something that belongs in a Mega Man or Mega Man X game.

    Swashbuckler Man….YARRRGH!

This song is amazing, I couldn’t match it with 1000 hours let alone one. What I don’t understand is why you arranged it this way. Its sounds beautiful with the original instruments: piano, accordion, strings, steal drums, flute, traditional drums and symbols, orchestra hits, ect.. I don’t remember where I found the other mp3 file of it but you changed it a lot. I can’t even find the kwakfest zip file on the net where it’s midi file is. This remix is ok, but I think the original should be put back on the internet because it was really good. Thanks so much, your fan Jesse.

Came across this again, while I was sorting through my MP3s. Knew I kept it for a reason: I don’t know any other musician who can conjure up nostalgic feelings of Seafaring, fist pounding Ayumi-Anime jPop remixes, Rainbow Arts Amiga games, Ridge Racing Jazz solos, Trance/House beats with funky NES basslines all cranked up to a point (3:26 on) where my brain melts and still make it repeatedly listenable… whether intentional or not. What were you on?
