Bit of a short notice, but whatever:
Basically, this is the Woodstock of chiptunes and retro game music. If you don’t come to this, you will have missed probably the most important event in chip history – 32 acts from the US to Europe to Japan, including such insane musicians as YMCK, Goto80, Jeroen “WAVE” Tel, x|k (the guy who created the MidiNES) and Hally (of vorc.org) There will also be crazily good visuals from some of the best in the world, and movie and art showings during the day.
I’m playing Thursday Night at 8 (Opening the festival) and what I’m playing is 100% new material. So you still have a few days to figure out how you’re going to fly/drive/walk to NYC and see us all play. Do yourself a favor and be there all four days, this is something you don’t want to miss.
Oh yeah, and: Listening to loud, high-frequency squarewaves for 6 hours a day for 4 days is a great way to damage your ears, so I’m bringing a huge container of earplugs for anyone who doesn’t have them, and anyone who’s coming should consider bringing a few extra sets too (they’re cheap), just so we’re all protected. This has been a public service announcement from YOUR MOM.
I will definitely miss this, but rape some ears anyway.
